Lens: DA 55-300 ED WR Camera: K-30 ISO: 800 Shutter Speed: 1/250s Aperture: F8

I put a plastic container lid on our deck and filled it with water. Shortly the local robins were lining up to drink {I had four at one time, but no good angle to capture the scene}. I took this photo through the glass door between our living room and the deck.

My word, that it some beautiful photograph. That sharp, shooting through glass. I have the Pentax 55~300mm lens, but it is not WR. So now I have something to complete my XMAS Wish List.

Great job.

You have great results that some glass didn't hinder .

Thank you for your comment.

I was about twelve feet from it. I turned off all the indoor lights, so the glass acted like a one-way mirror - I got no reflections on my side, and the birds should have seen nothing but reflections.

Thank you both for your comments.

There is much more detail here than I expected ..... I guess I'll need to explore this method more. This lens has been very good to me, but as soon as I get a more advanced camera, I'll be purchasing the PLM version also. On our nature walk, my wife has commented on the noise made by this one, and I hear the PLM variant focuses faster as well as being quieter.
