Wonderful tour, but now I got that song running through my head. LOL TFS. Both the tour and the song.

What a fascinating series, complete with orangs! Looks like a great trip and some of it looks untouched by time. Were most of those boats carrying tourists?

Just about all of the boats are for tourists these days and at the feeding stations for the orangutans there are so many boats, you have to walk through several before you get to yours. But still a great way to spend a couple of days. Thanks for commenting.

What about the snakes? I would have been unable to sleep on the boats due to my phobia of snakes. I would have been worried they would slither onto the boats while I slept. :-)

Nice pics, looks like you had a great time.

You'd be much more likely to get snakes in a building on land. Snakes aren't magical things - I can't see how one would "climb" the vertical side of a boat. It might be possible to wrap itself around a mooring rope, but why would it bother? Swimming, land and trees are much easier.

I generally don't worry about snakes - they typically are shy and only go for you if you sneak up on them. We camped in the jungle in Sumatra on this same trip and a big rat took off with the small candle our guides had placed near our tent - we saw it trying to figure out what to do with the candle as it made it's escape. I was glad we were in a tent that we could zip up that night. Lots of creatures in the jungle!

Personally, I prefer the first, but all the boat photos are attractive, and the orangutans are interesting.
