Half Dome
Posted By: GeoJerry, 10-31-2018, 01:13 AM

A zoom in on Half Dome from Glacier Point. The texture of the rock surface is not smooth as one might imagine looking at photos taken from a great distance. If you look carefully at lower right, you might see a party of 5 climbers working their way up.

This is a departure from the standard Half dome image but I like it a lot.

The air must have been clear that day - you can see the climbing route! Interesting pic of one of my favourite national parks!
