I couldn't quite understand why so many leaves were still on the trees when you look at the ground... hence the quite bizarre colour mix.

Beautiful forest. Looks like a wonderful place to go for a walk, particularly in the fall. With the trees so widely spaced and so little bush to bar the way...this looks like a forest one could take an adventurous stroll away from the path...and than of course...who knows what one could come across.

My wife says I wax lyrical at times. I think that's in my favour, but sometimes it is hard to tell.

This is actually part of the Ness Islands, which are right in the middle of the river Ness in the heart of the City Inverness, so too much wandering you will inevitably get your feet wet.

Could be very handy if your trying to be a little evasive with the truth, when justifying the latest camera purchase.

Nice one of the nicest season to walk in the woods!

On the subject of autumn leaves... In my mother's garden are 3 sycamore trees, 2 of them have completely shed their leaves while the 3rd has barely lost a leaf. This tree sits directly under a new powerful LED street lamp making night a lot more like daytime. I'm not sure if there is a connection but it is a strange coincidence!

I'm a flop at being economical with the truth around my wife. We've been married for 36 years and in that time, she has watched me like a hawk and she knows all my tricks, like the back of her hand. As you can see... aside being a failure at being evasive around my better half...I'm also a master of the cliche.

Maybe it's enough light to confuse the tree...
