This is a lovely photo, very well composed! Half Dome has really turned red in this light. Did you just take this since the fires started? I know that everything around my area glows red as the sun sets right now.

Thanks Todd.... no this was taken in late September.

People complain about running out of things to photograph, or not wanting to photograph what everyone has done. I'm convinced that the issue is not the subject, but the way of looking at the subject - as you demonstrated with this one.

Excellent!

I was watching a Ted Talk the other day by Alex Honnold who free soloed (climbed with no ropes, by himself) the 3000ft El Capitan there, pretty impressive (and dangerous...).
