Hi all,

Took some shots of the high school football team today. For you Australian/New Zealand guys we don't really kick the ball here but call it football anyway. Go figure? All shots K10 and SMC Pentax K 200mm f 2.5. Would have been nice to have the DA* 200 and autofocus but we do the best we can with what we have.

Tom, noice series... man you go away for a day and you could miss some great shots. # 4 is a standout... Thanks for sharing. JIMBO

Thanks Jimbo. It’s a challenge shooting any sport manually and it will take some time and practice to refine that skill. I played football for over ten years and coached it for many more so anticipating the action is no problem. I know in most cases where the play will unfold but getting that razor sharp focus is another matter. I’m not entirely happy with any of these shots and look at them as a work in progress. I’ll see if I can do better next week.
