A few random shots from last week. Incredible lens....all but the first were shot wide open @ F2.8

These flowers were actually sitting in the back of a pickup truck

Harley I saw sitting in a parking lot at work

It absolutely makes me wonder if I should go for the 16-50 or the 50-135!!

Would you guys stop posting these fantastic shots with the 50-135 I don't have one and I'm trying not to get one (yet), I just got the DA*16-55 and the bank account hasn't had time to fill back up yet.

Sheesh.....

I know what you mean. I went through the same agony. Of course, I told myself that there's no way I was going to spend $750 on a lens. You can see how well that little self-talk worked....

Great shots Alan the OOF/bokeh on the flowers are nice and the harley is just cool. The good news for me is , it does not induce LBA as I have it - it does induce TSP (Take Some Pictures!) though. Nicely done.

Congrads! I love these shots. The contrast is just amazing here.

I am looking for my copy to arrive any time soon.

Nothing I can add to what was already said - great photos, great use of the lens! I'm partial to florals though, what can I say - I'm color/contrast sucker Thanks for sharing !

Your images show why folks rave so much about this lens. I love the way it renders. But it is such an odd ball focal length to me! I'd probably own it if the focal length was different.

I thought the same thing about the focal length. I even wrestled with the idea of getting one of the new 70-200's instead, but the size and weight were a real turn off. The 50-135 is easy for me to hand hold and that's really important for me since I don't use a tripod. The lens hood makes it appear to be bigger than it really is.

I still think the 50-135 is a little short for street type shooting, but the IQ really makes up for it. The images really hold up well to heavy cropping so it's almost like using a longer lens. I also considered the Sigma 50-150mm/2.8, but didn't see enough images from it in a Pentax mount and we've all seen tons of incredible 50-135 images.

Overall, I'm pretty happy with the 24-60/50-135 combo for everyday shooting. If I need more length, I still have the Tamron 70-300 to lean on in a pinch.
