Moonshot, with a difference...

I've noticed that most moonshots are taken at night, well here's one I shot at sunset in March. Not much detail in the moon but I love the colours in the sky. PP was done in Bibble at the time.

Shot with the "poor" Sigma 100-300mm f/4.5-6.7 DL @ 300mm, f/11, ISO200, 1/100s

That is really nice. It is really the rare occasion when you are able to make the same exposure work for the moon and for clouds or foreground landscape.

I like the look, I like the mood. Good job!

It was definitely a case of being in the right place at the right time, probably one of the few times I've managed to get those two things spot on

Actually, I think you captured a remarkable amount of detail on the moon. As others have said -- great shot!

I'm impressed that the clouds held the colour without blowing out the moon. Well done and nice exposure!
