Recently picked up a KP after being a year or so without a camera. I had an old (2007ish) Sigma 17-70 to play around with some and shot a few of the bees on the Mexican sunflowers.

I really liked the almost playful look of the bees covered in pollen

I'm a novice at this stuff so any critique is welcome.

I don't understand why the color is different on the two images.
Ignoring the color issue, I like the first one better because of the way pollen appears.

I don’t know why either
Same lens used in both but the first one was 70mm at f/16, while the second was 53mm f/9.
I’m as clueless as you can get at this stuff, maybe the different aperture?

You are very welcome. A like the way you used two different flowers, which indicates the bee really wants to get his fill. On orders from the Queen, I am sure. )
