It was a windy weekend in TX,

But the climbing was pretty good.

(I could use some tips on resizing for the web, if you've got 'em, because this post drove me crazy.)

Good to see you having fun rock climbing.

What image software are you using to re-size images Beth?
They all require a little different process.

hi Betty. That is taken outdoor for sure, right? I see the right upper corner with full blown sun... So you were adjacent to the person in the shot then?

Not sure how you would take a shot with your hands supposedly holding onto the rock?

Oh a dangerous but fun shot! Nice angle too!

To answer your question have you tried MS Image Resizer Powertoy? It's a quick little add-on that you can download from Microsoft. When it's installed all you have to do is right-click your file, then click "Resize Image". If you are posting for the web, choose the medium size. It will make a copy of the file renamed with (Medium).

Hope that helps!

Nice action shot. From the amount of rosin on the rocks this look like a favorite climbing spot.

Thanks, folks. This is a shot of a kid I would probably have a crush on if I wasn't an old lady (comp. to him).

Laker, I'm using Elements 5. I'm a bit frustrated with this whole post-processing / resizing thing.

James, I was standing quite happily on the ground for this one. This type of climbing (and indeed all the climbing photos I've seen on this forum so far) is called bouldering. Wiki has a decent explanation/primer: Bouldering - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Alvin, I haven't tried it. I'll check it out later if I can't make Elements do my bidding.

Clarence, not rosin, but simple gymnastics chalk. Rosin mucks things up, and is very much frowned upon. And yes, Hueco Tanks is a very popular, amazing climbing spot. One could argue that it is a bit too popular, but they call it the North American bouldering mecca for a reason. Welcome to Huecotanks.com

What, not Enchanted Rock?

Nice, Beth. Always have wanted to go to H.T.
