Holiday shots from Kyoto
Lens: Super-Takumar 50mm 1.4 Camera: Panasonic GX80 Photo Location: Kyoto ISO: 100
Posted By: colfin, 12-20-2018, 05:06 AM

I decided to keep using only the one lens for the whole two weeks of my vacation to really learn what the Tak can do. (And what it can't do).

Here's some touristy shots.

You did well.
They all have a film-like quality to them.

Thanks! There were some good ones considering all shots were just 1-2 seconds of point-and-shoot and onto the next place. Zero composition, barely in focus!

I can relate to the time pressure when on vacation attempting to capture more than typical tourist shots. You did very well here with these.

Very well thought out and observed shots, I don't think they are touristy at all, lately I've been coming round to the point of view that a single 50mm or 35mm lens is all you really need in spite of having a shelf with many focal lengths on it. A single lens forces you to really think about the subject.
