A Breaking Wave at Turtle Bay, Oahu
Posted By: ToddK, 12-20-2018, 10:31 PM

I spent quite a bit of time attempting to photograph waves while dodging rain squalls and wind. This was my best result and required a bit of PP. It might be too much for some, but my goal was to capture the drama of the Oahu North Coast in December. The really big waves at Sunset Beach, the Pipeline and Waimea Bay were too far out to capture with the gear I had with me. I am happy to report that my gear held up to the rain without any problems.

I'd print this and hang it on the wall for sure. I think it looks wonderful just the way it is.

I would blow that up and hang it in a Doctors reception room....say Dr. Smyth Urology Surgeon and Specialist. That pic would get yah flowing, and then if needed turn on a tap.Very releasing image, nice capture.

Great idea! Maybe add a little sound effect to go along with it, a little calming of the nerves Thank you for your great comment!

Although I tend to lean against much PP, the blue of the water here looks like someone painted it. I really like that.
