I recently turned my attention to photographing birds. I like "blending" into nature and capturing wildlife around me. Here's a beginners attempt to capture birds (heavily cropped).

a beautiful bird.. I like the way the branches compartmentalize the image. the background is very pleasing. very well balanced. I think you are working this lens very well!

considering that you were all the way at 450mm, this is a very successful capture in my mind! Good work!
