I was just rummaging through the last of my finch shots from last August. I have not had the time to edit them until this rainy Sunday morning. As I recall I fired off about 100 images in the minute of so the finches granted me that day. Here’s a few I haven’t posted yet. The guys seem to have moved on but at least I've got a few trophies. I think I may frame a few for the office to remind me of warmer times when the snow starts to fly..

Thanks ESC, Jimbo and Chris - your comments are much appreciated. See if you can find a 300mm Chris. I think you will like the focal length. I'll admit I didn't like my K 300 much during my film days as I seemed to produce little but expensive out-of-focus junk. As a result it sat idle for a decade or so. Digital has changed all that for me. I still produce a lot of out-of-focus junk but it is a lot cheaper to practice. At the moment the K 300 is my most used lens.
