Oil and Gas in Western West Virginia

They've been drilling in the area West of Clarksburg over to the Ohio River since the mid-1800's. There's lots of debris, machinery, and abandoned wells everywhere you look.

An interesting scene - and sad to think that people think so little of the wilderness that they just leave stuff .... even kids learn to put their toys away.
