Went aurora chasing last night and was rewarded with a pretty good show around 1am! Had to brave -35F, the KP did great.

A nice series. I saw a TV program explaining the aurora a few days ago. It gives me quite a different perspective on what is going on there.

From 1600 to 6400, all of these happened to be at 3200. Shooting RAW; the noise performance on the KP is amazing.

Thanks for posting this set of amazing images, reminds me of our years in the Yukon, unfortunately before digital imaging, was hard to do on film.
