Drove over to the lock and dam on the Mississippi river at Clarksville, MO on Sunday. We were hoping to see some eagles in action. There were plenty of eagles, however, they saw fit to stay on the far side of the river. Even with 420mm all I could get was big dots in the trees. Anyway, the gulls were more active and flew close enough to get some pictures.

Don't say "just". Any BIF is an effort and worthwhile.
