Great detail and focus. We have a family of them living in the Bottlebrush Tree in our backyard but they are always on the move and it's hard to get a shot in.

Mt Aunt lives in Esperance, her Bottlebrush is by the front gate and her New Hollands arn't fussed by her or her cat.

@RobG

Hey Rob, I was in Canberra last weekend, stayed in the caravan park in O'Conner. Kept hearing Sacred Kingfishers just over the fence. Thought you might be interested.

This one happened to be taking a rest in the shade on a hot day.

Thanks! I'd like to get a good photo of one. I managed to get very close to one years ago, but the K200D and lens I was using at the time aren't anywhere near as good as the K3 and DFA 150-450. There is a pair of Sacred Kingfishers which have a next somewhere in Jerrabomberra Wetlands. Thanks for the tip!
