Frozen Soap
Lens: DFA100mm Camera: k5iis Photo Location: My Frozen Porch ISO: 200 Shutter Speed: 1/90s Aperture: F11

It's freezing cold, so I've been photographing soap film ice patterns. It's kind of amazing watching the ice form, with a cold bubble solution and -14C (and lower) air temperature, the freezing of a thin film happens fast.

This one looked like a peacock. It's 5 exposures with the light moving around and blended in post. More technical details on flickr for the interested:

When the conditions are right, the feathery patterns were forming pretty consistently.
