Moon over Santa Barbara
Lens: Pentax 150-450 mm Camera: Pentax K-1 Photo Location: Santa Barbara
Posted By: GeoJerry, 01-21-2019, 01:07 PM

My favorites from the lunar eclipse last night. The composite may be a little cheesy but I wanted to show the moon and also the landscape under the light of the full moon after totality.

Very nice captures. I really like the first one.
I tried to take some shots as well, but inexperience with night shots made me miss out on focus. Fortunately there are photographers who know what they are doing

Very nice. You were lucky to have clear skies. Here in the UK it seems to be cloudy whenever there is a lunar eclipse.

Thanks Bengan... night shots are tricky enough, but autofocus lenses can make it even harder!

Thanks Jer... I compared these with my last moon shot and saw that the old one was in much better focus. It must have been the wind that made these a bit soft.
