Lunar eclipse
Lens: 18-135mm Pentax lens @31mm Camera: Pentax K-30 Photo Location: Germany near Idstein in the Taunus hills ISO: 3200 Shutter Speed: Above 6s Aperture: F7.1

I moved to a nice location near my home to catch a bit of the mood during the totality phase of last Monday's lunar eclipse. Finding the correct focus was a problem, but at last I succeeded. Denoising was also difficult. I hope You find this picture acceptable. In the foreground it shows some dark buildings - the so called 'Kreuzkapelle' (Cross Chapel) and a private house nearby.

Regards
Stephan

very picturesque, something christmas, something mystical as in the books of Ernst Theodore Wilhelm Hoffmann
"Die Abenteuer der Sylvester-Nacht" ("Adventures in new year night")

Nice view of the moon in the context of these local buildings.

I think just a little bit longer exposure on the foreground would have been good.... but I'm being picky. It's a great photo with a lot of atmosphere. Two thumbs up!

Take two exposures... one for the foreground and one for the sky and then merge.
