Photo Location: Near Lone Pine, California

Another shot from an Eastern Sierra trip a few years ago. Ground elevation rises from -280 ft at Death Valley to over 14,000 ft for the highest peaks within a very short distance, so you can get some pretty dramatic scenery, especially when the clouds cooperate!

Wonderful shot! I would like to have been there to see the storm coming, lightning striking and the like, this weather is SO promising! And it's a great picture! Thanks for sharing.

A wonderful photo. I would crop some from the bottom and brighten the mountain slightly, but so what? You were there, and that's what counts.
