They're really nice Jacob, great colours and scenery.

I was a bit put off by the first shot, as it was loading on the screen from the top down I saw the roof appearing and thought it was going to be a cute little forest dwelling or shed and then the rest of the shot loaded and........... WTF.

Thanks for all the replies. I'm taking work off on thursday and heading back up to spend some quality time up the canyon. Hopefully I can find something a little more 'rustic' than a forest-service toll-booth There are a lot of abandoned mines up there...

A slightly different crop of the last picture, to get rid of the garbage at the bottom:

If you have the chance, take a drive up one of the Cottonwood Canyons. Head south-east on I-215 and follow the signs for Solitude and Brigthon ski resorts (Big Cottonwood) or Alta and Snowbird ski resorts (Little Cottonwood). The hills are alive with color (no, not music, just color). It's maybe 20 minutes from downtown Salt Lake to the mouth of the canyon, and another 50 or 60 minutes round trip to the top of the canyon and back. I'm just about to head out and shoot some more up Little Cottonwood Canyon, so hopefully I'll have some more color to post.
