Good catch. Cardinals seems to be very timid creatures - ours fly off as soon as they see me, even if I'm behind a window.

Great shot! We have an abundance of cardinals at our feeder, one of these days I’ll post a pic myself.

Thanks! I was lucky to catch the face; burst mode helped. Probably would have been better with smaller aperture and lower iso if he had warned me that he would stop moving😆

Were you outside, or was this from inside through a window?

Very good - as I said earlier, our cardinals would never tolerate my sharing 'their outdoors' with them, my being outdoors and within sight of them.

Also, the clarity degraded somewhat when I lowered the file size to 128kb for posting on the forum. Your bird photos are clearer! Do you have any suggestions for me?

After any needed cropping, I adjust contrast and brightness, then down-scale to the size needed here.
With my K-30 I sharpened the 'final' image, but with the KP I'm afraid of doing any more sharpening.

Incidentally, I was being truthful when I said I liked what you have done.
