Hi folks--It has been a while since I posted here. My life lately is going a million miles an hour since my wife had emergency open heart surgery to replace a valve while on vacation last year in Florida. It doesn't take much for your life to stop on a dime but life is getting better. My feathered friend comes by just about every day to see what I leave for him.All the shots are taken through the window mostly with the Pentax 18-250 lens.Hope everyone is doing great in 2019.I'll try to be not so much of a stranger on this page.--Take care all-charliezap

Welcome back Charlie . Health issues are a reality for us all but we live in an age of hope . My guess is that this is a red shouldered hawk .

Outstanding, Capn!! The shots are first rate. Also, I'm glad things are settling down - you guys went through the wringer on this, so it's great you can move back to "regular" life.

Hi folks--It is a red shouldered hawk. At 7-8 AM he is sitting on a branch and when I put out some scraps he swoops right down for breakfast.--charliezap

The shots of this guy in flight are really spectacular!

BTW - has anyone told Bluejay in the last photo that his neighbor is a predator???
