Lens: Helios-44M 58mm F2 Camera: Pentax K-5 Photo Location: home ISO: 80 Shutter Speed: 1/8000s Aperture: F2

At the Mini challenges etc. board, there is this "Single in Challenge". Once started to prevent GAS / LBS, its challenge is to post a photo every day during one month, shot with only one lens which you can choose yourself. It's great, because it learns you all quirks and habits of the lens of choice. And it can be a great way to work back into photography too. I joined it several times in the past, and I decided to join the February 2019 edition too. My lens of choice: the cheapo Helios-44M 58mm F2. Why? Because it can deliver. Not when you're after very sharp, or over-saturated. But if you love somewhat soft, a bit artsy, you should try the Helios-44M.

Here's the link to the discussion thread to the challenge: Single In - February 2019 - PentaxForums.com. Why not consider to join next month?

And here is a photo which I shot with the Helios. Not for the challenge, but merely just because I regained my love for making photos.

It is good to see that you have regain your interest in photography Rense. You haven't lost your touch. This is beautiful and the lens was a perfect choice.

Marvelous composition, Janse.

I've also been suffering a photographic malaise - I haven't picked up my SLR in months. Your shot reminds me that I need to rev up the motor and get out shooting!

Right country, wrong person, Jer!...
Not a problem at all though.... The single challenges helped me a lot, and not for the first time, I must say...

The evidence supporting the fact that I'm getting old is mounting.

LOL

Well, as said: no offence taken, no problem at all, as far as I'm concerned!
