Here in Central Pennsylvania any sort of flower that can bloom in the middle of winter is appreciated. This particular Japanese/Chinese hybrid Witch Hazel fills the bill for me. It's been blooming for a week now in temps that are in the teens and low 20's (F). Beats my neighbors' Forsythia by a mile.
