Imagine this transportation "corridor" being traversed only by muscle and sinew !

A wonderful shot that brings me back in time. There is a complaint that modern youth has no interest in anything that involves manual labour or for anything that does not come on an iPhone or iPad etc, it would be a rude awakening for them to have to go back to this or similar which, when you think about, it is not that long ago for many parts of the world, only a hundred years or so since the internal combustion engine began to take over. 60 years ago there were a lot more horses ploughing than tractors.
