That time of the year
Lens: AF Tamron 70-300mm tele-macro Camera: K-70 Photo Location: home ISO: 100 Aperture: F5.6

Although European Starlings hang around the area all winter in huge flocks putting on precision split second maneuvers known as Murmuration, they rarely approach my feeders until nesting begins. This is the first I've seen this year. He appears to be telling me that the natural processes are marching on, and contrary to the continuing freezing temps, spring is on the way. The shutter speed BTW is 1/1600.

A very lovely photograph of a very beautiful and colorful bird. I see more and more Tamron lenses being used on this site and I can certainly see why. Third party lenses have certainly come into their own and seem to be improving exponentially on a daily basis. Thanks for uploading.

This one produces excellent bokeh. My favorite for wildlife shooting at the more distant ranges. Thanks for looking.

I like the protective feeder (helps keep out squirrels for example).
