Hibiscus -no exif data
Lens: Tamron 90mm f2.8 Macro Camera: K30
Posted By: Cee Cee, 02-27-2019, 04:21 PM

from a while back, I have no info on the shot. I'd have to go back and find the original, but processing with newer version of Gimp strips the exif data if the camera make is "PENTAX" I have to remember to edit the exif to "Pentax" (or anything else, just not PENTAX in all capitals) before loading into gimp.

I had the same experience you did editing Q-7 or K-30 photos, but for some reason, the newer version of gimp seems to leave exif data alone when editing KP photos, even though they still specify camera as "PENTAX"

I think the "Camera Make" in the KP is "RICOH IMAGING COMPANY, LTD" as is anything later than the K5. check this particularly the last page Windows 10, Gimp & Pentax - Page 3 - PentaxForums.com

Good one, CC. These things pop up in our backyard in the warmer months - I photographed 'em many times, but never produced anything better than your shot.
