Very nice. Highway 395 is very scenic - at least the portion I traveled between Randsburg and Bishop. Lots of geology including Randsburg mines, Red Hill cinder cone near Fossil Falls, Alabama Hills, and Chalk Bluffs. Plus historical locations such as Manzanar "relocation" camp and remnants of former populated places such as Zurich Station. And you have Mt Whitney and the rest of the Sierras, plus the Trona Pinnacles east of Ridgecrest.

Really a spectacular sight - how the mountains merge into the valley. A hundred years ago, William Mulholland {the person Mulholland Drive is named for} made a large Los Angeles possible by purchasing all Owens Valley water and moving it to LA via viaduct.
