water often creates interesting effects if we just look.

Lol ! Freezing rain doesn't happen very often during wintertime in Canada. Only when the temperature is very mild (around the freezing point) and precipitations change to rain instead of snow. Every winter, we see temperatures dip to -30 deg C (yes you read well : minus 30 deg C) and this may last for weeks on end. Last year, we received 12 feet of snow. This picture was taken mid-winter, at the end the houses were no longer visible from the street.

Wow, crazy stuff. I presume there is a car under that mound of snow? There is just the faintest suggestion of the shape beneath the snow.

Second picture reminds me of Winterpeg. My home town. Last weekend we got somewhere around 50-60 cms of snow...higher in other parts of the province.

About 40 years ago I considered moving to Vancouver Island......but I didn't.
