So many memories for so many people through so many centuries. Terribly sad to see it burn.

Yes it’s looking grave for
Notre Dame, the center piece of Paris . We can only hope treasures can be saved.

I was just thinking the same thing. My heart goes out to the people of Paris who have treasured it for so long, and it's also a loss for the entire world. A place like that goes straight to your heart when you see it.

I heard the news this morning . Such a loss.

Wonderful photos , this is part of what photography is about, documenting the world as it was. I never got there when I was in France.

When the news broke I had Life After People on the tv. They say Notre Dames towers will still stand 2000 years on.

It's really difficult to take in. Nothing is permanent - a tough piece of reality that's hard to swallow. Photos are excellent.

It is a terrible and heartbreaking pain for all of our western civilization ... it is a warning to our fragility in all its dimensions ...
