Interesting photo. Your photograph has an old fashioned 'press' quality about it...excellent.

What B+W setting did you use ?

Whatever it was , great choice.

Top notch photograph of the Notre Dame tragedy...you have a very good eye for the surrounding human interest stories of the Notre Dame Cathedral fire with this picture.

Just curious what are the fireman sitting in...looks like a specialized wheelchair ? Looks like they are heavily built for commercial use and I'm guessing maybe part of the fire department equipment.

Thanks a lot !

I didn't use a B&W setting of the camera. I always use Rawtherapee for my BW conversions. This time because the image was a little bit noisy, I used first DXO Photolab for RAW conversion to TIFF.

I'm not sure, but I think what looks an armchair could be a wrapped watering hose (I don't know the exact term in English) ?

Your description is very accurate, the term in English is "hose reel," with reel meaning a device like a wheel that winds up something by turning. Fishing reel, film reel, cable reel and reel rake are examples.

Excellent photo by the way.
