The other day, while doing some "compression" experiments with my little Bimmer and DA*300 at the local two-year college, I also wandered around the campus a bit with my DFA 28-105. The campus includes a chrome metal structure aimed at depicting the alpha helix of DNA, something I've photographed several times over the years. This time, I simply included it a landscape - devoid of people as it was Sunday. When I looked at the shot on my computer, it reminded me - for whatever reason - of the kind of "space age" backdrops you'd see in cheap science fiction movies and TV shows back in the day. I converted it to B&W because that fit the mood - at least to my somewhat eccentric mind.
