Green Lizard in great light
Lens: Sigma 100-300mm f4 Camera: Pentax K-3 Photo Location: Houston ISO: 800 Shutter Speed: 1/500s Aperture: F4
Posted By: Artesian, 05-04-2019, 11:23 AM

Been real busy working on my house lately and have not taken any shots. I was walking around looking at our flowerbed and saw this lizard in the light. I went in and grabbed the first camera I saw which was the Pentax K-3 with my Sigma 100-300mm f4 lens. Great lens by the way. Got a few shots off before it took off running for its life, or so it thought. Anyway I like the contrast and pose it gave me.

Oh no question, this series was well executed. You are correct in that the photo gear combination truly generates some awesome images. Thanks so much for posting.

Thanks TT. I like the combination pretty well. If I don't have the Sigma on I have the FA * 300mm 4.5. Another favorite of mine.

Nice capture of the Anole lizard.

We have them here in Florida too but they're very shy, especially camera shy.

This one surprised me by hanging around so long. Maybe he was blinded by the sun and could not make me out.

Glad you enjoyed looking at the little guy. He looks kind of like an old wrinkled man lizard but who knows?

Thanks 360. The greens are pretty but I think the lizard may have a slightly yellow casdt.
