Nine years ago, when I was a mere 62 and we lived in Western Massachusetts, my wife discovered Hawk Mountain {Eastern Pennsylvania} while looking for a place where we could go on a three day weekend. I don't remember how long the trail up to the top was, but once we got there, we were at eye level to predator birds as they soared. My primary camera back then was an 8mp Canon Rebel, which didn't really put enough pixels on the birds {second photo is a 100% crop}, but I thought I'd post a few of my photos in case they would inspire someone else to go there.

It's gotten really crowded up there these days. Fortunately I have a mountain close by that's on their migration path and only has a few people...so far.

My wife is the bird-watcher. Most of my photos were of the trail up - and the people at the top.
