Contrast is just right - it shows what you saw at the moment, and why sometimes a bird is really hard to spot in its natural environment,

This is a good capture that worked well in this light with the low angle that you were able to get to the bird.

Thanks reh321 and ToddK for looking at this lonely unanswered thread ( just kidding) . I managed to get a series of snaps of the sand piper , but most were where you don't want the strong light to fall. this is another of same subject ,many thanks again.
