Posted By: Jimbo, 10-06-2008, 10:09 PM

Shot this at 800 ISO at F13 1/320 sec just after a rain storm... Was concerned about exposure but may have worked out... Cheers JIMBO

Eastern Shore Charlie / First, thank you for looking and commenting. As far as where I fine the flowers. I grow some, along with my sister and I also like to visit local garden shops. Welcome to MinterGardens.com

I attached a link of one I recently visited. I will also go to local growers that sell to garden shops and ask if I can take pictures. Never been turned down yet. Cheers JIMBO

Jimbo, you are the flower master. Nice composition and capture. I always enjoy your posts. I too am interested in where you get all the wonderful flowers to photograph (you are probably very popular at a few florists)

Thank you Spyglass... Timing is everything on finding types of flowers to shoot. Spring versus early summer versus late summer... I find the best all around time, around this area, is mid August to now. I don't know why I like taking pictures of flowers so much but I do. My other hobby for years was gardening which I am sure plays a role. I will try to dig up a old picture of my flower gardens before I wnet to a new hobby, shooting pictures instead of growing them! old hobby

Here is a picture of my garden last summer. Sorry for the look as it was done with an old PS camera... this is one reason I like taking pictures of flowers. JIMBO

I like it as it is! You could ad some light, but it might get easily unnatural..

Thanks Georg and I agree with your comments on adding more light... brightness. White can be one of the hardest colors to get right depending on light and backgrounds... I like it as is too. Cheers JIMBO

Lovely shot, only one question, is it because the size has been reduced for the forum, or is it a little on the soft side? Or was that intentional? (or am I just crazy> )
