Looked to recreate something I saw in a YouTube video that amused me … K-1, DFA 50mm f2.8 Macro.

Thanks, Dewman! Even when it's dark or raining, there are photos we can make - this just some orange paper and household utensils.

As an artistic exercise it really stretches you, because only certain angles and arrangements are pleasing.

I couldn't agree more, Ian.

A few years ago, I joined a "Single In" challenge using my Q-7 and a truly awful adapted "Fujian" 35mm (I think) lens. Around that time, the weather here was dreadful and I had little desire to get drenched, so most of my shots were taken indoors. Many of them were abstracts constructed in a similarly creative manner to your photo here. Mine weren't as clever - nor the end results quite as successful - but I ended up with a bunch of cool photos, some of which still rank among my favourites.

We need never be without photographic opportunities
