Planted too soon?

Depending on where your standing we got 3-5 inches of snow last night. Hopefully the flowers will survive as it only got down to 29 degrees. I uncovered the barrel enough to expose a Petunia.

How did they do??

It certainly gave you an unusual photo opportunity.

I have a nephew in Montana that went camping a couple of weeks ago and got the same thing. Having grown up in MT, snow is a possibility in the high country in just about every month except maybe late July through mid-August.

Thanks for commenting, there is some white stuff in the high peaks and passes last night and today. Montana is beautiful, we took a trip once a long time ago up to Calgary, we took the long way and really enjoyed it.

Not to worry, I had my tent collapse under some heavy snow on July 29 in the 1980s at about 11,000 ft.
