Beautiful job on that 'Flying B' Bentley hood ornament Jer.

I'm a fan of hood ornaments and I bemoan their passing. I know, an ornament can sometimes not be safe for pedestrians and safety has to be paramount. It sure is nice though to go to a vintage car show and see hood ornaments proudly displayed .

Seeing your picture reminded me of an old late '20's Blower Bentley that I came across a long time ago. Aside from the front mounted supercharger, it also had that famous Flying B on the hood and I half expected John Steed from The Avengers (TV show) to show up...rolling his bowler hat down his walking stick. Steed didn't show up and for that matter, neither did Mrs. Emma Peel, but the old Bentley was enough on it's own.

Hey, Les - thanks for the kind words.

You know, I never associated Steed and Emma (on whom I still have a crush) with a Bentley. My first awareness of Bentley came from reading the book, "Casino Royale", in which James Bond drove a 1931 model - I've forgotten which, but it had a super charger.
