Man, these three are gems, Todd - really impressive.

I just now noticed that you live in Santa Barbara you lucky devil!!

I visited SB many years ago, when I visited UCSB to give a lecture to materials science and polymer chemistry grad students about R&D in the materials industry. I still remember the title of my talk: "Stayin' Alive in Polymer Science".

I loved the place so much, I nearly wept when I got on the plane back to Texas.

When I got home, I told my wife that I wanted to live there, although all we could afford would be a lean-to shelter somewhere up in the hills.

Thanks Jer! Actually I don't live in SB, I live near Sacramento, we were just visiting last week. I know exactly what you mean about loving the place, if I only could afford to retire there....However, we were excited when a new small airline called Contour Air started flying out of Sac with a non-stop to Santa Barbara. One hour and I am there! We plan to make a habit of visiting there now that it is so easy
