A few minutes with an old friend....
Posted By: Igilligan, 10-07-2008, 05:03 PM

It has been a while since I posted a shot...

I spent a few minutes with an old friend today, I put the vivitar 105 on the K100d today and hit the backyard. The tamron 28-75 has been on the camera most of the time of late. I saw a thread in that other forum about posting your macro shots... I started to post some of my old ones, but decided instead to put the Series 1 on the cam and head outside...

It is kinda like riding a bike....

As I said it is kinda like riding a bike... I was a little rusty handholding that heavy beast of glass and steel...

Nice macros as usual Gus. It may not be the best shot but I like #2, I like the way the spider is going towards the OOF part of the picture.

Gus, your shots are mind-blowing. The bokeh. The composition. Unreal.
I'm not buttering you. You are a master...I am not worthy!

All nice shots but #3 really jumps out at you no pun intended. The eyes make it. jim

Nice work, overall. I think I see a four eyed beast. Better lock your doors.

Something about rusty metal score high with me, I like the lasy shot of the fly on the rusty steel. (that weapon you lugged around today might be heavy.... but it is effective)

The Vivitar Series 1 is a fantastic lens.... the build quality always impresses me. After a long while, I stuck it on my camera this morning too! (see my LBA D. Zuiko thread).

These are wonderful examples from the lens! Great eye! It always amazes me what we can find in our own backyard... a wealth of photographic subjects!

gus, those are great shots. I hate spiders and having to look them in the eyes doesn't make me love them any more but those are really nice shots. I have to agree with spyglass though, the fly on the iron is my favorite.

I really like the last shot. In particular I like that the colors that are in the fly's eyes are somewhat echoed in the rust.

Very nice!

My Apologies to all

I posted these and then dropped off the map again..

I want to thank all of you for taking the time to reply and for the words of support. I really do apologize for the late response... it is unacceptable!

And to Jeffkpotter --- you may not be buttering, but I feel buttered... Thank you
