Rose Rugosa 'Rubra'
Posted By: Kerrowdown, 06-03-2019, 01:19 PM

It just caught my eye as I walked by...

Some beautiful texture detail going on with a hint of back light thrown in for good measure.

This is one gorgeous photo of a beautiful flower! You are dead on about the lighting and texture, it is as good as it gets.

Thank you very much, I can’t take all the credit “Lady Luck” played a major part in this image capture too.

In my humble opinion this is a far above average good shot Kerrowdown. But I can't understand why you "blame" the equipment when you are taking good shots. :-)

No not blaming, but giving due credit to an awesome piece of glass.

It is a minor quibble about a very lovely photograph, but on this side of the Atlantic, rose hips are the fruit left behind when the rose petals have disappeared.

I don't have any photos of Rose's hips that I care to share, but this seems to be another example of two nations separated by a common language.

No I'm sure you're correct, I should have titled this thread Rose Rugosa 'Rubra', which goes on to produce Rose Hips later on in their cycle... I've changed and corrected it now, thank you for the heads up.

Oh dear, I do apologise, it was not my intention to cause you to have that feeling.
