Thunderbirds

Taken today at the Fort Wayne air show. According to my download, I took over 600 pictures today...so, I have some reviewing to do.

I thought about shooting these at F16, but decided to go with f11.

I edited this on my new (to me) laptop, and haven't calibrated the screen yet. I probably start the other edits on the pc.

Here's the un-cropped version for those interested. We were sitting around 800-1000 ft off the runway (estimated from google maps)

I think somewhere between the two is the "right" overall image. Of the two I like the uncropped better because it gives more context/perspective, and so I'd only crop it a little. Great shot either way.

I viewed it on Flickr and expanded the photo. The lower pilot seemingly looks right at you, which we know he isn't doing.


I cannot figure out how to upload from Flickr, but even if I could I have nothing near as good as this one. This is the acme of aerial photography.
