LBA - D.Zuiko 30mm F/2.8 lens (2 images)

EEK! Only it's not for Pentax!

I went into Hollywood Camera (Portland, Oregon) yesterday and talked to the fellow that has run the shop for over 50 years. My eye was drawn to this beautiful Olympus Pen EES half-frame camera... in near pristine condition with a soft leather-like case.

It's a true point and shoot.... basically only 2 settings to worry about..... ISO (up to 200) and 3 focus settings. It doesn't even allow you to take a shot if the shot is too under/over-exposed.

I loaded up a 24 exposure color Fuji roll and now have 48 shots to play with!

Shots taken with Pentax K20D and Vivitar Series 1 105mm 2.5 macro lens with an AF-540 and Nikon SB-25 fired wirelessly with SM Flashwaves triggers.

Don't worry, I'll be posting some images from an Oly soon.

Got a Canadian sending me an XA - for nothing!

Those canucks are generous!

I've snapped a few... I'm looking forward to taking it back east during our trip in a couple weeks. I'll take the K20D, of course... but, it'll be fun to have a little point and shoot to whip out at family gatherings! So... it's going to be a good while before I can share any shots from it.

I've got one of these - beaut little camera.

Remember to keep it stored with the lens cap on. The selenium light meters eventually fail if exposed to light and moisture for a long time.

Good to know that the light meter could fail with too much exposure. Unfortunately, it did not come with a lens cap. But, it does have a nice, soft, leather-like zip-up cover that it will be kept in when not in use.
