Two of my most favorite subjects are sunrises and sunsets and I don't get the opportunity to shoot them nearly often enough.
I find them particularly challenging because there are myriad factors that come into play to make a
really good sunrise/sunset photograph; many of them being completely out of the photographer's control...
You only get one of each per day at the most and the conditions for that great shot only last for a minute, maybe two. Temperature, humidity, pollution, location, cloud activity, time of year, time of day, what's in the foreground, what's on the horizon, why did I leave
that lens at home? There's a symphony of things converging to a singular moment when it's all just right. Some days they don't even come together at all.
So boring? Not in my book. Nice shot.
