Very nice indeed, Rob. They are an attractive bird. In theory (or in Simpson and Day) their range gets up as far as us, but I have never seen one.

Thanks! I think I've seen them near the Queensland border at least. The White Cheeked Honeyeater is more common on the coast in some areas.

Thank you! I liked the arrangement of their heads in this frame and the bokeh is nice.

A remarkable photo Rob! Catching them together on the perfect sloping branch is terrific.

Just like a human family, no way to get everyone to look at the camera at the same time. I agree with all the ++ comments above but also find this a fun shot to look at.

Thanks! We're very lucky in Australia to many many beautiful birds.

It was very lucky. I heard them making a fuss all around me, although I'm pretty sure that it wasn't me they were complaining about. I got a couple of shots of birds on their own, then suddenly they all decided to have a family huddle.

It occurred to me just after I posted, Rob, that your shot is surely worthy of entering in Australasian Nature Photography. You take some great images and this must be right up to the standard. I know it is never easy to get on the short list there, but this pic really has something. And "Family Gathering" is a great title.
