We had seen the fawn in the same exact spot earlier in the week. I didn’t disturb it then as it was only about a week old. I was surprised when my wife told me it was there again. It was standing this time. So, I hoped to capture at least one image before it bounded away.. I had not used the lens for years but it was ready in the drying cabinet and on it went. Lens is razor sharp wide open and mercifully focus was spot on on the eyes.
Thank you for the positive feedback.

Thanks troika. They are beautiful. We also get bears, bobcats, foxes, dozens of turkeys. The turkeys are surprisingly beautiful when lit up in the sun. But they move through our acreage too swiftly to get images the way I’d like to capture them.

Glad you feel that way😀. But ,most of the credit probably goes to the fawn for the fawn giving me enough time to crank up the iso to get a sharp image in the shadows of the woods.

Thanks Susan. I wish I could have used a lower iso, but the situation dictated it be higher. Nonetheless, the K1 II does a pretty good job of holding the image together. Thank you for your kind words.
